Job Description:

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of automated production lines and industrial equipment in a food-grade environment. You will play a key role in ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity while maintaining strict compliance with food safety standards.

This is a full-time permanent role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems across the production lines and throughout the facility.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues and implement timely solutions to reduce downtime.
  • Work closely with the production team to prioritize and complete work orders safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and parts inventory.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and equipment upgrades.
  • Follow and enforce all safety, GMP, and food safety protocols.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Red Seal Millwright Certification is required.
  • Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a food manufacturing or other regulated environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, and packaging equipment.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, sensors, and circuit diagrams and ability to troubleshoot electrical issues
  • Preference for welding experience (Tig, Mig, and Stick)
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Solid understanding of safety practices and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
  • Able to work well on your own and as part of a team.
  • Comfortable in an industrial environment (dust, smoke, grease, noise, fumes, chemicals, etc.). Includes indoor and outdoor work.
  • Physical able to perform work, inclusive of standing, walking, kneeling, climbing, reaching, lifting, bending, twisting, hand dexterity, and stamina.
