Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting with capsule encapsulation machines.
• Experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• Experience with flexible packaging equipment such as bag fillers and stickpack machines is strongly preferred.
• Mechanical troubleshooting and routine maintenance and changeovers.
• Ability to identify problems, prioritize tasks, and communicate needs clearly.
• Detail-oriented with organized maintenance documentation.
• Willingness to learn GMP, sanitation and quality requirements.
• Millwright licence is an asset; unlicensed technicians will be considered.
• Availability to work Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair capsule encapsulation machines and related production equipment.
• Support maintenance and operation of flexible packaging equipment, including bag fillers and stickpack machines.
• Perform routine equipment changeovers, adjustments, and preventative maintenance.
• Complete preventative maintenance and monitor equipment performance.
• Identify recurring issues and suggest improvements to reliability and maintainability.
• Communicate equipment conditions and repair priorities for maintenance reprioritization.
• Coordinate with production scheduling and warehouse teams to plan maintenance and minimize disruptions.
• Act as a technical resource for manufacturing, warehouse, planning, engineering, and quality teams.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, inspections, and equipment issues.
• Follow workplace safety, food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures.

THE ROLE

REQUIREMENTS

• Hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting experience with capsule encapsulation machines is required.
• Previous maintenance experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• Experience with flexible packaging equipment, such as bag fillers and stickpack machines, is strongly preferred.
• Practical mechanical troubleshooting skills and experience completing routine equipment maintenance and changeovers.
• Ability to identify equipment problems, prioritize tasks, and communicate maintenance needs clearly.
• Strong attention to detail and an organized approach to maintenance documentation.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with production and other departments.
• Willingness to learn and follow site-specific GMP, sanitation, and quality requirements.
• A millwright licence is an asset; experienced, unlicensed maintenance technicians will be considered.
