Bell 2 Lodge/Last Frontier Heliskiing is currently seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Maintenance Team Member to fill a year-round position. Bell 2 Lodge operates as Last Frontier Heliskiing during the winter season and as a hotel during the spring, summer, and fall months.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the ideal candidate would be a well-rounded jack of all trades with excellent troubleshooting abilities, especially in mechanical and electrical areas. Day-to-day tasks can include a wide variety of duties.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Skills – not all are required but recommended if you have a willingness to learn:

  • Team-oriented and eager to learn new skills
  • Experience in one or more trades
  • Experience with generators up to 180 kVA
  • Experience operating basic power tools and heavy equipment
  • Experience in landscaping and snow removal
  • Ability to repair and maintain motor vehicles and small engines
  • Experience in small water systems and small wastewater systems
  • Data collection skills
  • Energetic and able to work in a team setting as well as autonomously

Requirements:

  • Being physically fit and able to lift at least 50 lbs
  • First aid certificate (asset)
  • Driver's license and driving abstract required
  • Flexibility and positive attitude
  • Previous experience in a remote lodge setting (asset)

Other Perks/Benefits:

  • Accommodation and meals are provided for all employees while on rotation
  • Schedule is three weeks on and one week off, working ten-hour days
  • Transfers to and from Terrace are provided; flights at your cost
  • In winter months, perks include heliskiing if you are a strong skier/snowboarder and meet all conditions
