What will you do in this job?
- Supervise the maintenance work and activities of the property.
- Perform general building maintenance, landscaping, snow removal, and parking lot cleaning, including shift work.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with the Hotel Manager and other departments affected by work.
- Assist with maintenance and upkeep of staff housing units and coordinate property renovations.
- Perform preventative maintenance and communicate through logs and email.
- Train and mentor maintenance staff, prepare schedules, and ensure shifts are covered.
- Maintain knowledge of fire procedures, safe work practices, emergency procedures, and pool maintenance.
- Assist with payroll control and major repairs, report project progress and hurdles.
What skills and experience do you need for this job?
- Minimum of three years’ experience in maintenance (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, pool treatment, painting).
- Excellent mechanical skills, ability to train and mentor staff, and basic computer knowledge.
- Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of tools, ability to manage workloads, and flexible shift availability.
- Valid driver’s license (Class 4 Alberta license preferred).
- Steel-toed work boots required; uniform provided.
