Qualifications

• Minimum of three years’ experience in maintenance (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, pool treatment, painting).
• Valid driver’s license (Class 4 Alberta license preferred).
• Steel-toed work boots required; uniform provided.

What will you do in this job?

• Supervise the maintenance work and activities of the property.
• Perform general building maintenance, landscaping, snow removal, and parking lot cleaning, including shift work.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with the Hotel Manager and other departments affected by work.
• Assist with maintenance and upkeep of staff housing units and coordinate property renovations.
• Perform preventative maintenance and communicate through logs and email.
• Train and mentor maintenance staff, prepare schedules, and ensure shifts are covered.
• Maintain knowledge of fire procedures, safe work practices, emergency procedures, and pool maintenance.
• Assist with payroll control and major repairs, report project progress and hurdles.

What skills and experience do you need for this job?

• Minimum of three years’ experience in maintenance (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, pool treatment, painting).
• Excellent mechanical skills, ability to train and mentor staff, and basic computer knowledge.
• Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of tools, ability to manage workloads, and flexible shift availability.
• Valid driver’s license (Class 4 Alberta license preferred).
• Steel-toed work boots required; uniform provided.
