Job summary

Join a dynamic maintenance team as a Maintenance Supervisor in Kingsey Falls. Your role will involve managing a team of electrodynamics and instrumentation technicians, ensuring optimal operational performance and implementing health and safety regulations. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s in electrical engineering or equivalent and 3 to 5 years of experience, alongside strong leadership and communication skills in both French and English.

Job description

Thrive by applying your expertise within our client’s maintenance team at the Kingsey-Falls maintenance service center as a Maintenance Supervisor – Electro-Instrumentation Department.
* Please note that this position is based in Kingsey Falls and requires periodic on-call periods (1 week/8).

  • Select, train, guide, and provide technical advice to a team of electrodynamics and instrumentation technicians (approximately fifteen);
  • Estimate and plan employee schedules based on ongoing projects;
  • Lead daily meetings with the work team;
  • Participate in the management of planned work and daily emergencies;
  • Apply and enforce occupational health and safety regulations;
  • Ensure optimal operational performance by implementing and monitoring KPIs;
  • Identify opportunities and suggest improvements;
  • Support teams in problem solving;
  • Participate in the planning of maintenance work to ensure the reliability of production equipment;
  • Ensure OHS risk management and participate in the implementation and implementation of action plans;
  • Foster good communication within the team;
  • Ensure collaboration with other service departments as well as the plants served.

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a college diploma (DEC) combined with relevant experience in the industrial sector;
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position;
  • Methodical thinking, dynamism, autonomy, innovative spirit, resourcefulness, sense of initiative, and availability;
  • Good management and decision-making skills;
  • Demonstrate committed leadership, be unifying, organized, and prioritize teamwork;
  • Ability to work with various technological tools (including SAP)
  • You are equally fluent in French and English to communicate easily with our units and partners in Quebec, the English-speaking provinces, and the United States.
