Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and execute maintenance projects, including troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, corrective actions, and supporting the Maintenance team in daily operations.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Maintenance team; provide feedback and conduct formal evaluations to ensure team members have the necessary skills and competencies to meet departmental and company objectives.
  • Manage administrative duties such as approving overtime, updating Dayforce, and managing vacation schedules efficiently.
  • Conduct daily shift handover meetings to communicate project updates, assign tasks, and coordinate countermeasures when necessary.
  • Support maintenance cost containment by tracking labor and overtime expenses.
  • Perform safety and GMP inspections at the assigned location, addressing any violations or equipment issues.
  • Model safe work practices and adhere to health and safety policies and procedures.
Recipe for Success:
  • Post-secondary education in Engineering or a related field is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of supervisory maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within food or baking industries.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Advanced knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, automation, PLCs, instrumentation, robotics, and bulk handling systems.
  • Experience with facility maintenance and plant equipment management.
  • Excellent planning, scheduling, and prioritization skills.
  • Proficiency with CMMS and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Demonstrate safety leadership and a positive attitude.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
