Responsibilities

• Supervises preventive and corrective maintenance work for various properties (roofing, plumbing, refrigeration, ventilation, electrical, etc.) and project work.
• Coordinates and monitors tasks related to maintenance of store equipment and general services (janitorial, waste removal, snow removal, landscaping).
• Completes audits (PMV, environmental, store, janitorial, energy).
• Evaluates corrective measures after inspections and ensures tasks meet standards.
• Negotiates quotations and approves expenditures as needed.
• Prepares work requisitions and coordinates approvals.
• Manages expense reports and monitors budget.
• Verifies corrective invoices for payment.
• Responds to after-hours calls and emergencies as required.
• Assists in seeking new contractors.

Work Location: ON - INDUSTRIAL AVE, OTTAWA, Province: Ontario.

Salary Range: $74,205.00 - $100,395.00 annually. Base salary determined based on knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity.

Summary

The Maintenance Supervisor supervises preventive and corrective maintenance work for assigned stores, ensuring all work is completed within our standards in a timely and economical manner.

Responsibilities

• Supervises preventative and corrective maintenance work for various properties (roofing, plumbing, refrigeration, ventilation, electrical, etc.) as well as various project work.
• Coordinates and monitors tasks related to the proper maintenance of store equipment as well as general maintenance services (janitorial, waste removal, snow removal, landscaping, etc.).
• Completes various audits (Preventive Maintenance Visits (PMV), environmental, store, janitorial, energy, etc.).
• Evaluates after inspection, the appropriate corrective measures to be taken.
• Ensures the respect of established standards, while completing all tasks in a timely and economical manner.
• Evaluates quotations and negotiates prices and/or contents as needed.
• Prepares work requisition and transmits for appropriate approval.
• Manages, analyzes, periodic expense reports to ensure budget is respected.
• Verifies and approves all corrective work invoices for payment.
• Responds to after hours calls and emergencies as required.
• Searches for new contractors.
• Other related tasks.

Qualifications

• College level diploma in Building Systems or Electro-mechanical studies.
• 3-5 years experience in building maintenance.
• Intermediate Knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word & Excel).
• Skilled task supervision and coordination.
• Skilled negotiator.
• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.
• Valid Driver’s License.
