Trouw Nutrition Canada is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor for the Moncton plant. This person will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and organizing all production and maintenance operations in order to achieve our objectives in terms of health and safety, customer satisfaction and cost control. More specifically, this person will ensure that we meet our quality and production objectives by properly planning the inventory, costs, materials, and personnel in place.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct monthly internal audits, track and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs), and implement initiatives to drive continuous operational improvement.
  • Participate in regular operations and management meetings to align on strategic goals, contribute to the Joint Health & Safety (JH&S) committee through workplace inspections, and assist with internal and external audits to ensure compliance with regulations and procedures.
  • Forecast staffing needs, oversee onboarding and training for new hires, and provide coaching to the production team to support their growth and performance.
  • Lead daily production activities and morning meetings to align team objectives, coordinate maintenance and production planning for efficiency, monitor inventory quality with timely follow-up, and champion health and safety practices in line with company policies
  • Accurately update Day Labour reports, manage time-off requests and payroll tracking, maintain and distribute uniform inventory, and issue training certificates and license cards to ensure smooth administrative operations.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIRED:

  • Diploma in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in an industrial setting or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Production Supervisor in a unionized environment is preferred.
  • Experience in the agri-food or animal nutrition industry is considered an asset

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
  • Intermediate level MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook, ERP
  • Leadership.
  • Good English skills.
  • Good coaching skills.
  • Knowledge of Lean and 5S principles.
  • Results oriented and continuous improvement oriented.
