A staffing solutions firm seeks an experienced Maintenance Supervisor in Delta, BC to lead a maintenance team in a dynamic manufacturing environment. We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead our cleint's maintenance team in a dynamic manufacturing environment in Delta, BC location.
Key Responsibilities :
Supervise a team of licensed Millwrights and apprentices in the repair, maintenance, and installation of machinery and equipment.
Assign daily tasks, prioritize work orders, and ensure timely completion of maintenance activities.
Provide hands-on technical support and lead troubleshooting of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues.
Develop and enforce a preventive and predictive maintenance program.
Mentor and train apprentices to develop technical skills in alignment with apprenticeship programs.
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company policies, safety standards, and government regulations (e.g., OHSA).
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to support operational needs and continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain maintenance records, logs, and documentation using CMMS or manual systems.
Monitor equipment performance and recommend upgrades or replacements when necessary.
Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate procurement with the purchasing department.
Respond to emergency maintenance calls and coordinate corrective actions promptly.
Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and failure mode analysis to reduce unplanned downtime.
Qualifications :
Licensed Industrial Millwright (433A) Mandatory
Minimum 5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting
2+ years in a supervisory or lead hand role, preferably overseeing apprentices
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, motors, and gearboxes
Familiarity with electrical systems, PLC troubleshooting (asset, not mandatory)
Experience working with CMMS systems
Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills
Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities
Knowledge of workplace safety standards, including Lockout / Tagout and WHMIS
