Job summary

All Nations’ Healing Hospital in Fort Qu’Appelle, SK is seeking a Maintenance Services Worker to support preventive maintenance and day-to-day facility operations. You will work across departments and report to the Maintenance Supervisor, contributing to safe and reliable hospital services.

The role involves minor repairs to plumbing, electrical, carpentry and mechanical systems, equipment upkeep, and ground maintenance. Travel is required; shift is Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm.

Qualifications

  • Must have Grade 10 or higher.
  • Fireman Boiler Operator certificate required.
  • Valid Saskatchewan driver’s license and clean background check.
  • One year maintenance experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and basic computer skills needed.

Responsibilities

  • Performs minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, dry walling within code requirements.
  • Maintains patient equipment such as mobility devices, beds, wheelchairs.
  • Repairs mechanical equipment (pumps, fans, motors, boilers, kitchen/laundry gear).
  • Monitors air-conditioning systems and boiler equipment.
  • Performs minor welding and fabricating as needed.
  • Operates ventilation units and related equipment.
  • Performs building systems adjustments and general ground maintenance.

Job Description:

All Nations’ Healing Hospital (ANHH) is seeking a reliable and motivated Maintenance Services Worker to join our team. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this position assists with preventive maintenance and overall operations and maintenance of facility, plant systems, and equipment. The successful candidate will work collaboratively across all departments of ANHH and First Nations Health Services, File Hills Qu’Appelle Tribal Council.

Duties and Responsibilities include:
  • Performs minor plumbing and electrical repairs within code requirements.
  • Performs minor carpentry repairs, painting, dry walling and performs preventative maintenance.
  • Repairs and maintains patient equipment (e.g., mobility devices, beds and wheelchairs).
  • Performs minor repairs and maintains mechanical equipment (e.g., pumps, fans, motors, boiler and associated equipment, kitchen/laundry/housekeeping equipment).
  • Monitors and performs minor maintenance for air-conditioning equipment (e.g., filters, belts).
  • Repairs and maintains bottled medical gas systems, centrifuges, fume hoods.
  • Performs minor welding and fabricating (e.g., shelf brackets, handrails),
  • Operates and maintains ventilation units and boilers/accessory equipment.
  • Performs minor repairs and adjustments to building systems.
  • Ground maintenance.

Education
  • Grade 10
  • Fireman Boiler Operator Certificate
  • Valid Saskatchewan drivers license
  • Clean Criminal and Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Demonstrated knowledge and respect of, and ability to work within First Nations Traditional and Spiritual Institutes
  • One (1) year experience in a maintenance environment (commercial or industrial)
