Job summary

Flair Airlines is seeking a Maintenance Process Analyst to review, develop, and improve maintenance processes, forms, and controlled documents. You will work with Engineering, Maintenance, QA, and Flight Operations to ensure accuracy and regulatory alignment.

The role focuses on documenting and standardizing procedures, identifying gaps, and driving continuous improvement within Flair’s maintenance program in Calgary. Must have significant AME experience and strong documentation skills.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineer license and maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Minimum five (5) years on large single-aisle commercial aircraft.
  • Experience authoring, revising, and controlling maintenance documentation.
  • Familiarity with document control workflows and revision management.
  • Knowledge of Boeing 737 and AMOS is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Review, revise, and re-author maintenance task cards for clarity and accuracy.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of controlled maintenance engineering processes for regulatory alignment.
  • Review maintenance forms for accuracy, usability, and compliance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes and documentation.
  • Support standardization of maintenance procedures across the department.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure process alignment and consistency.
  • Assist with development, implementation, and continuous improvement of procedures.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to communicate approved changes.
  • Track revisions to support version control and compliance.
  • Participate in audits and compliance reviews.

Your Team

Join Flair’s Engineering team as a Maintenance Process Analyst, where accuracy, safety, and continuous improvement are key to supporting a reliable and compliant maintenance operation. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will be responsible for reviewing, developing, and improving maintenance processes, procedures, task cards, forms, and controlled documentation. In this role, you will work closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Flight Operations, and other operational stakeholders to ensure maintenance documentation is clear, practical, technically accurate, and aligned with regulatory requirements, OEM guidance, and Flair’s internal standards. You will help identify process gaps, improve workflow efficiency, and support the standardization of maintenance practices across the department.

This role is based on-site at our Calgary, AB (YYC) office.

A Day In The Life

As a Maintenance Process Analyst, you will support the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of Flair’s maintenance program by reviewing maintenance documentation, improving processes, and helping ensure controlled documents remain current and effective.

  • Review, revise, and re-author maintenance task cards to ensure clarity, technical accuracy, operational efficiency, and compliance with regulatory requirements, OEM guidance, and internal standards.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of controlled maintenance engineering processes to confirm accuracy, regulatory alignment, and opportunities for workflow improvement.
  • Review controlled maintenance engineering forms to ensure they remain accurate, usable, and compliant with internal and regulatory standards.
  • Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes, task documentation, and workflow efficiency, and provide recommendations for implementation.
  • Support the standardization of maintenance procedures and controlled documentation across the department.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Flight Operations, and other operational stakeholders to support process alignment and consistency.
  • Support Technical Services Engineers with the development, authoring, implementation, and continuous improvement of maintenance processes, procedures, and controlled documentation.
  • Assist with audit preparation and compliance reviews by ensuring maintenance process documentation is current, accurate, and readily available.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to communicate and implement approved process or documentation changes.
  • Track revisions and updates to maintenance processes and controlled documents to support version control and ongoing compliance.
  • Participate in initiatives related to maintenance documentation, process optimization, standardization, and compliance assurance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Bring To The Role

  • Education:
    • A valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineer license is required.
    • Post-secondary education in Aircraft Maintenance, Aviation, Engineering, or a related field is considered an asset.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of five (5) years of experience working on large single-aisle commercial aircraft is required.
    • Proven background in authoring, revising, and controlling maintenance documentation is required.
    • Familiarity with engineering change processes, including document control workflows and revision management, is preferred.
    • Boeing 737 aircraft experience is considered an asset.
    • Working knowledge of MyBoeingFleet is considered an asset.
    • Working knowledge of Swiss-AS AMOS is considered an asset.
  • Skills and Abilities:
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Word; experience with Adobe tools is considered an asset.
    • Minimum typing speed of 50 words per minute is required.
    • Understanding of human factors principles as they apply to maintenance documentation.
    • Familiarity with MSG-3 methodology, Maintenance Planning Documents, and OEM maintenance planning logic.
    • Ability to review, revise, and standardize maintenance procedures in alignment with regulatory, OEM, and internal requirements.
    • High attention to detail and accuracy when working with technical documentation and controlled processes.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
    • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to write clear, accurate, and practical maintenance documentation.
    • Effective organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate records.
    • Sound judgment and problem-solving skills when reviewing processes, documentation, and compliance requirements.
  • Requirements:
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC).
    • Clear criminal record check and satisfactory employment references.
    • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada without restriction.
