Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, Weyerhaeuser is seeking a Maintenance Planner-Scheduler to join its lumber manufacturing team in Princeton, BC. The successful candidate will have proven abilities or exceptional aptitude in safety leadership, reliability/maintenance practices, team development and technical capabilities with experience working in a large industrial setting.We are looking for someone who can support our maintenance team to world class standards in manufacturing and maintenance reliability practices.

Key Functions:

  • Plan, develop, and schedule work orders as a member of the maintenance team
  • Safely deliver operational excellence in a dynamic manufacturing environment
  • Role model all safety standards/processes and on-the-job behaviors by living our core values and people principles, and fostering a positive and inclusive work environment
  • Facilitate weekly planning and scheduling team meetings and ensure teams have understanding, alignment, and engagement
  • Share responsibility for attaining a world class reliability culture
  • Work with a team of ~20 tradespeople in delivering work execution excellence
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with operations and maintenance personnel, corporate resources, peers, and senior leadership to continuously improve mill operations and reliability
  • Work closely with maintenance leaders, Stores, tradespeople, and operators, to identify priorities and plans to improve, participate in implementing the plans, and document and track progress
  • Practice responsible financial management in the execution of maintenance reliability functions
  • Utilizing SAP to plan and schedule work
  • Continuously improve our preventative and predictive maintenance program following best maintenance practices
  • Contribute to the strategic planning process with input on direction and solutions to issues based on analytical data
  • Attend and participate in all safety meetings and any applicable trainings
  • Experience working as a dedicated Maintenance Planner in a manufacturing setting for a minimum of 5 years
  • Prefer a valid Journeyperson trade certification
  • Demonstrated role-model of safety leadership, planning and scheduling, budgeting, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with and promote healthy teamwork
  • Demonstrated experience in effective root cause analysis
  • Ability to develop and lead training activities
  • Excellent problem solving, communication, and organizational skills
  • Experience working with SAP or other CMMS systems, along with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Willingness to support a 24/7 operating schedule
  • Experience in a unionized environment is an asset

Compensation : This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $83,400 - $120,100 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 7% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.
