Position Summary

Responsible and provide technical purchase planning, scheduling and cost control assistance to maintenance, production and various groups.

Responsibilities
  • Purchasing
  • Create and track Purchasing Orders (Oracle / Maximo)
  • Spare parts inventory compliance as well as storeroom management, making sure parts are available.
  • Manage the creation / obsolescence of inventory parts.
  • Responsible to track department spends as part of budget process requirement.
  • Manage the creation of new suppliers according to company policies.
  • Solve problems related to receiving or entering invoices for payment.
  • Analyzing costs, identifying cost-saving and cost-avoidance opportunities.
  • Participate in process improvement team: plant initiated CAPEX projects future state.
  • Planning
  • Maintain and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs maintaining records in the computerized maintenance management system (IBM Maximo).
  • Identify and resolve problems, recommending improvements in the planning process and ensure routine schedules.
  • Provide technical planning scheduling for short- and long-range weekend activity and assist groups to ensure optimal maintenance effectiveness.
  • Prepare diagrams, reports and networks reflecting planned work sequences of events, timelines and resources constraints.
  • Manage work order requests (planning & prioritization).
  • Maximo transactions creating processing notifications / work orders and all PM related transactions.
  • Interact with contractors and vendors.
  • Other duties as described by your manager.
  • Compliance / Reporting
  • Track and report on weekly / monthly maintenance performance metrics and key indicators.
  • Monitor progress of schedules and work programs.
  • Generate and track all accruals for Finance at Month-end.
  • Prepare and maintain all records for regulatory compliance: Health & Safety, Quality & Food Safety.
  • Perform work in a safe and healthy manner.
  • Participation in ongoing H&S training, QA audits, etc.
  • Ensuring that all purchasing activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining product integrity, practicing highest levels of GMPs and conforming to HACCP pre-requisite program and all associated SOPs.
  • Follow Job Responsibilities as per BRC and other regulatory bodies.
Qualifications
  • 2-3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing or a related field, preferably within a maintenance or manufacturing environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. A post-secondary education in supply chain management, finance or a related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Lean and 5S programs.
  • Proven project management skills.
  • Proficient computer skills (ERP, MS Office).
  • Knowledge of Accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Proficiency in MS Excel - Intermediate level or above.
  • Superior communication skills in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Ability to work in a team-based environment.
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
