Job summary

Elk Valley Resources (EVR) in Elkford, BC, is seeking a Planner, Maintenance to deliver detailed work plans that enhance the efficiency of the Maintenance Department. You will work with a seasoned team, coordinate across sites, and advance maintenance strategies while staying organized in a fast-paced environment.

You will join a team committed to safety, quality, and continuous improvement, with opportunities to grow knowledge across mine operations and equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience in mining or heavy industry is required.
• Mobile maintenance environment experience preferred.
• CMMS knowledge (SAP) is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
• Manage work backlogs for accuracy, including parts, labor, permits, drawings and tooling
• Short and long-range planning aligned with Mine Plan requirements and outages
• Collaborate with maintainers to build or improve detailed work packages
• Maintain an accurate cost forecast supporting asset management strategies
• Assist with annual budgeting and cost analysis
• Track and report KPIs with continuous improvement ideas
• Commission and decommission equipment and manage maintenance programs
• Communicate maintenance plans with stakeholders across departments

Skills

Mobile maintenance experience

Heavy equipment knowledge

Valid driver’s license (Class 5)

Education

Journeyperson’s ticket or Diploma in a related field

Tools

Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)

CMMS (SAP)
