Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for planning and scheduling maintenance and repair activities for our trucks, trailers, and related equipment. Your work will ensure our fleet remains safe, compliant, and road-ready, minimizing downtime and maximizing operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage preventive maintenance schedules for all fleet vehicles and equipment.
  • Coordinate with drivers, mechanics, and vendors to plan and execute maintenance and repair work.
  • Review estimates and coordinate expediting of parts from vendors
  • Coordinate phone calls/emails between drivers, operations staff and vendors for higher severity unplanned maintenance
  • Maintain accurate records of service history, inspections, and compliance documentation.
  • Analyze maintenance trends and recommend improvements to reduce breakdowns and costs.

Qualifications

  • Postsecondary education in Maintenance or Engineering; concentration in Mechanical profession or trade considered an asset
  • 3+ years of professional experience; transportation & logistics industry experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills; clear and concise exchange of information both written and verbal
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, Operations staff and vendors in order to achieve objectives
  • Sense of urgency with respect to business results and job responsibilities
  • Ability to make appropriate use of technology
