Job description

Title: Maintenance Planner

CGC Inc. is a leading marketer, manufacturer, and distributor of gypsum wallboard products, interior finishing materials, and suspended acoustical ceilings. With locations worldwide, CGC and USG have the resources, plants, products, and people to build walls, ceilings, and careers.

CGC Inc. is currently recruiting a Maintenance Planner for our Wheatland, Alberta plant. This is an on-site, full-time position at our new wallboard plant in Carseland, AB.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Maintenance Planner activities comply with the RPM program.
  • Develop and implement RPM model activities at the Wheatland Plant.
  • Expedite work orders and requests, and schedule routine and non-routine electrical and maintenance projects.
  • Ensure accuracy of information on maintenance work orders, determine parts and materials, prepare job plans, and provide cost estimates including labor and materials.
  • Communicate job plan details to Maintenance Foreman, Supervisor, or other Planners.
  • Support the planning process from start to finish, ensuring all information is complete and accessible.
  • Train on new operating systems as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the Wheatland plant.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Proven safety record and ability to work safely.
  • Knowledge of electrical and plant equipment, operations, and maintenance (asset).
  • Proficiency with Windows-based systems, Word, Excel, Outlook, EAM, barcode scanners, and Oracle Inventory Management.
  • Ability to read and interpret prints and drawings.
  • Self-motivated with minimal supervision.
  • Effective communication skills across all levels.
  • Periodic travel possible during training (US/CAN).
  • Ability to maintain positive relationships and resolve conflicts promptly and positively.

Additional Information:

Salary may be adjusted based on experience and qualifications. Pay range: $43-$48.25/hr CAD.

Operational hours: Monday-Friday, 8-hour days.
