Qualifications

  • Minimum 5-10 years’ experience with Aircraft Maintenance/Operations.
  • Must have experience in Aircraft Maintenance planning.
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems (CAMP and IFS).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, manuals, SBs, STCs and ADs.
  • Experience with technical writing.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint; strong organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain the work package based on customer-defined scope.
  • Create and maintain routine work orders and a routine tally on the work package.
  • Assemble the list of materials and services required for maintenance/modification.
  • Develop and maintain ERP framework for job cards and part IDs.
  • Identify risks and propose mitigation for upcoming projects before induction.
  • Release and close work packages per the Master Schedule.
  • Solicit feedback from technicians and leads to improve the maintenance plan.

Job description

Job Summary

Reporting to the Planning Manager/lead, the Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning and providing technical assistance to the scheduled heavy maintenance activities within the AMO.

Direct Accountabilities
  • Create and maintain the work package based on defined work scope provided by the customer.
  • Create and maintain routine work orders and a routine tally listed on the work package.
  • Create and maintain the list of all materials and services required to complete the aircraft maintenance and/or modification based on the customer requirements and approved data.
  • Develop and maintain a framework in the ERP system (Job cards and Part IDs) to control the maintenance tasks and expedite the creation of work packages.
  • Identify risks and propose mitigation plans for upcoming projects before the aircraft induction.
  • Alter the details of the project as needed to fit the Master Schedule, formally release the work package, formal closure of the work package at final completion.
  • Solicit feedback from Technicians, Working Leads, and Crew Chiefs regarding enhancements to be made to the Maintenance Plan. Capture and process lessons learned on task card content, clarity, sequencing, trades required, or durations. Build improvements into the sequence for future use.
Experience, skills, and attitude
Required
  • Minimum of 5-10 years’ experience with Aircraft Maintenance and/or Operations.
  • Must have experience in Aircraft Maintenance planning.
  • Experience using MRP/ERP systems (CAMP and IFS).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, aircraft manuals, service bulletins, STCs and ADs.
  • Experience with technical writing.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint within a MS Windows environment.
  • Ability to demonstrate developed interpersonal skills to work effectively with a variety of individuals from different departments.
  • High attention to detail, responsive and adherent to deadlines; excellent time management, organization, and planning skills with a high ability to adapt to change whilst working under pressure.
  • Ability to maintain and communicate a positive attitude, exercising diplomacy, confidentiality, and good judgement.
Preferred
  • Experienced ACApreferred with aircraft type CL215/415, DHC-6, DHC-8, or SD3 Sherpa.
Working Conditions
  • Maintain strict adherence to De Havilland Aircraft of Canada (DHC) Health & Safety Policies.
  • Work in various environmental conditions, including temperature extremes, confined spaces, heights, and around chemicals.
  • Must be able to climb, stand, kneel, lift (up to 50 pounds), push, pull, bend, reach, carry, walk, crawl, balance, and use stairs.
  • Must be able to work shift rotations including weekends and/or night shifts, on-call or overtime as occasionally required.
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required for workplace safety.
  • Ensure the ability to maintain a positive fit test when mask use is necessary.
