Primary Purpose

Performs tank installation, install transfer lines and related equipment at customer location, general maintenance and repairs on the Tank Farm, Warehouse, facilities chemical transfer equipment.

What you'll do
  • Completes routine maintenance and repairs on chemical bulk storage equipment in the facility.
  • Completes routine maintenance and repairs on chemical bulk storage equipment in customer facilities.
  • Install tanks, transfer lines and pumps at customer locations.
  • Responsible for coordinating the facility maintenance program to ensure all maintenance is completed routinely.
  • Completes various welding and fabrication projects.
  • Completes general Tank Farm maintenance including pump and hose inspections.
  • Completes necessary research for non-standard maintenance & repairs requiring the purchase of materials and/or employment by outside contractors or vendors.
  • Monitors progress of outside contractors to ensure timely and proper repairs.
  • Serve on company’s in-plant or off-site emergency response team.
  • Comply with all company policies, rules, and guidelines.
  • Perform all other duties as required.
  • Hoisting and rigging experience.
  • Basic electrical understanding.
What you'll need
  • Ability to operate an industrial powered lift truck or forklift according to company procedures and governmental regulations.
  • Ability to use and maintain respiratory protection equipment.
  • Ability to learn proper methods for handling hazardous materials and wastes, with training.
  • The ability to read, write, count, understand and speak English.
  • Must hold a valid Class G drivers license.
  • Steamfitter/pipefitter apprentice.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry at least 50lbs for short distances.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, squat, and bend as necessary for long periods of time.
  • Test negative on the company’s drug tests.
  • Exposure to fumes, dirt, and noise on a daily basis.
  • May have occasional exposure to hazardous chemicals.
  • May require safety equipment and/or precautions.
