Primary Purpose

Performs tank installation, installs transfer lines and related equipment at customer location, and performs general maintenance and repairs on the Tank Farm, Warehouse, and related facilities and chemical transfer equipment.

What you’ll do

• Completes routine maintenance and repairs on chemical bulk storage equipment in the facility.
• Completes routine maintenance and repairs on chemical bulk storage equipment in customer facilities.
• Install tanks, transfer lines and pumps at customer locations.
• Coordinate the facility maintenance program to ensure all maintenance is completed routinely.
• Complete various welding and fabrication projects.
• Perform general Tank Farm maintenance including pump and hose inspections.
• Research non-standard maintenance and repairs requiring the purchase of materials and / or outside contractors or vendors.
• Monitor the progress of outside contractors to ensure timely and proper repairs.
• Serve on the company’s in-plant or off-site emergency response team.
• Comply with all company policies, rules, and guidelines.
• Perform all other duties as required.
• Hoisting and rigging experience.
• Basic electrical understanding.

What you’ll need

• Ability to operate an industrial powered lift truck or forklift according to company procedures and governmental regulations.
• Ability to use and maintain respiratory protection equipment.
• Ability to learn proper methods for handling hazardous materials and wastes, with training.
• Ability to read, write, count, understand and speak English.
• Must hold a valid Class G driver's license.
• Steamfitter / pipefitter apprentice.
• Physical ability to lift and carry at least 50 lbs for short distances.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, squat, and bend as necessary for long periods of time.
• Test negative on the company’s drug tests.
• Exposure to fumes, dirt, and noise on a daily basis.
• Occasional exposure to hazardous chemicals.
• May require safety equipment and / or precautions.
