Job Title: Maintenance Assistant
Location: Thrive Senior Living Community
Reports To: Maintenance Director
Job Type: Full-Time / Tuesday - Saturday and/or Sunday - Thursday

Job Summary:

Thrive Senior Living is seeking a dedicated and hardworking Maintenance Assistant to help maintain the overall safety, cleanliness, and functionality of our community. This role is essential in ensuring a comfortable and well-maintained environment for our residents and team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform routine maintenance tasks, including minor repairs, plumbing, electrical work, and HVAC system support.
  2. Respond to resident work orders in a timely and courteous manner.
  3. Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of common areas, hallways, and outdoor spaces.
  4. Ensure safety standards are met by regularly inspecting the community for hazards and making necessary repairs.
  5. Assist in setting up for events and moving furniture as needed.
  6. Perform seasonal tasks such as snow removal, landscaping, and pest control as directed.
  7. Maintain inventory of supplies and notify the Maintenance Director of needed replacements.
  8. Support emergency maintenance needs as required.
  9. Adhere to all community policies, safety regulations, and compliance guidelines.

Qualifications & Skills:

  1. Previous experience in general maintenance, facilities, or custodial work preferred.
  2. Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC is a plus.
  3. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and perform physical labor tasks.
  4. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  5. Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  7. Willingness to be on-call for emergencies when needed.
