Summary

Reporting to the Co-Manager/Assistant General Manager, the Maintenance Outfitter is responsible for day-to-day facilities maintenance, both directly and through service providers. This role involves performing repairs and preventive maintenance on buildings, grounds, and equipment, as well as coordinating work tasks with service providers.

Responsibilities
  1. Maintain the upkeep of buildings, equipment, and grounds.
  2. Train and instruct service providers on company policies and procedures.
  3. Assist in repairs and preventive maintenance, including machinery, plumbing, sprinkler systems, lighting, electrical, carpentry, and material handling equipment, using various hand and power tools.
  4. Support sales floor maintenance, fixture builds, dusting, and vacuuming to meet visual standards.
  5. Monitor and set up service contracts (HVAC, lighting, snow removal) in coordination with management.
  6. Supervise maintenance staff by scheduling, assigning work, and resolving issues.
  7. Requisition supplies and coordinate deliveries as needed.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Vocational/Technical School Certificate preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience is an asset, with the ability to train staff.
  • Ability to prioritize, delegate, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of company products, retail practices, and procedures is preferred.
  • Customer service orientation and effective communication skills.
  • Experience with housekeeping and maintenance principles.
  • Proficiency in using cleaning equipment and tools safely.
  • Flexible work schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • P.A.L license may be required; training available.
