Summary:
Reporting to the Co-Manager/Assistant General Manager, the Maintenance Outfitter is responsible for day-to-day facilities maintenance, both directly and indirectly through service providers. This position performs repairs and preventative maintenance of the building, grounds, and equipment; it also involves assigning and coordinating work tasks to service providers.
Responsibilities:
- Ultimately responsible for the maintenance and general upkeep of the building, equipment, and grounds.
- Trains and instructs service providers on company policies and procedures.
- Conducts and/or assists in repairs and preventative maintenance of building, grounds, and equipment, including machinery, plumbing, sprinkler systems, lighting, electrical, carpentry, and material handling equipment, using various hand and power tools.
- Assists with sales floor upkeep and maintenance, including fixture builds, dusting, and vacuuming to meet visual presentation standards.
- Monitors and sets up service contracts (HVAC, lighting, snow removal, etc.) in coordination with the Senior Operations Manager and Regional Facilities Manager.
- Supervises daily activities of maintenance personnel by scheduling and assigning work, determining methods, checking work accuracy, and resolving employee questions and problems.
- Requisitions supplies and coordinates the delivery of needed materials.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Vocational/Technical School Certificate preferred.
- Previous supervisor experience is an asset, with the ability to train and instruct outfitters.
- Ability to prioritize, delegate, and accomplish multiple projects, as well as troubleshoot and resolve common problems.
- Attention to detail to ensure work accuracy.
- General knowledge of company products, retail practices, and procedures is preferred.
- Customer service-oriented team player with effective communication skills in a courteous, positive, and professional manner.
- Knowledge and experience with housekeeping and general maintenance principles.
- Experience in the safe use of cleaning equipment such as electric scrubbing machines, rug shampooing machines, and various hand and power tools.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- P.A.L license may be required; training available.
