Job summary

GAL AeroStaff Ltd. is seeking an experienced Maintenance MRO / Completions Planner to support maintenance, modification, and interior completion projects within a Part 145 environment.

Location is Macon, GA, with focus on schedules, labor estimates, and material planning. The ideal candidate will coordinate with engineering, quality, and customers, develop work packages, and monitor progress to ensure safe, compliant, on-time execution.

Qualifications

Position - Maintenance MRO / Completions Planner

Location: Macon, GA

We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance MRO / Completions Planner to support maintenance, modification, and aircraft interior completion projects within a Part 145 Repair Station environment.

The Planner will develop and maintain work scopes, schedules, task cards, labor estimates, and material requirements while coordinating with Production, Quality Control, Materials, Engineering, and customers to support safe, compliant, on-time project execution.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review customer requirements, contracts, and work scopes for maintenance, alteration, and aircraft completion projects
  • Research approved technical data including OEM maintenance manuals, IPCs, SRMs, Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, STCs, Engineering Orders, and applicable approvals
  • Develop and issue work packages, task cards, and routine and non-routine job cards
  • Identify Required Inspection Items, critical tasks, and inspection hold points in coordination with Quality Control
  • Develop labor-hour estimates and realistic task durations for applicable aircraft trades
  • Generate material and parts requirements and coordinate with Purchasing and Materials
  • Track long-lead items, customer-furnished equipment, outside services, and material shortages
  • Plan required tooling, ground support equipment, calibrated tools, consumables, and shop resources
  • Build and maintain project schedules, including induction, milestone, and Return to Service dates
  • Monitor daily project progress, schedule variance, labor hours, and completion status
  • Manage the impact of non-routine discrepancies on project scope, cost, and schedule
  • Participate in production meetings, project reviews, and customer status discussions
  • Ensure planned work is supported by current and approved technical data before release to production
  • Maintain accurate work order, task, material, and labor information within applicable maintenance and ERP systems
  • Support aircraft interior completion, refurbishment, and reconfiguration planning
  • Coordinate with Engineering, DERs, and ODAs regarding technical data, certification, and conformity requirements
  • Track customer changes and scope additions and incorporate them into revised work packages and schedules
  • Support quoting, estimating, cost tracking, and project status reporting
  • Support internal, customer, and FAA audits as required
  • Follow all company safety, quality, and regulatory procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Summary of Education, Experience and Certification

High school diploma or GED required.

  • Minimum 3-5 years of aircraft maintenance planning, production control, or related MRO experience in an FAA-regulated maintenance or repair environment required
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate preferred
  • Aircraft interior completion, refurbishment, or reconfiguration planning experience preferred
  • VIP or special-mission aircraft experience preferred
  • Business jet experience preferred
  • Experience supporting AS9100 implementation or audits preferred

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Working knowledge of FAA Part 145 regulations and Repair Station documentation requirements
  • Ability to research and interpret maintenance manuals, IPCs, SRMs, ADs, Service Bulletins, engineering drawings, and approved technical data
  • Ability to develop work packages, task cards, labor estimates, and material requirements
  • Experience building and maintaining aircraft project schedules
  • Ability to manage multiple aircraft projects and competing priorities
  • Familiarity with maintenance tracking and ERP/MRO systems
  • Experience with Traxxall, CorrPlus, or comparable systems preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and scheduling tools
  • Familiarity with DER/ODA processes, conformity inspections, FAA Form 337, and 8110-3 approvals preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills
  • Ability to make effective decisions under schedule pressure while maintaining regulatory and quality requirements

Work Environment and Physical Demands

The employee will work in a combination of office, hangar, and shop environments with exposure to aircraft systems and equipment.

The position may require prolonged periods of sitting and standing, occasional extended hours, weekend or shift support based on project requirements, and occasional travel.

The employee must regularly be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
