Our Canadian based client, an industry leader in plumbing manufacturing, is seeking a savvy and motivated Maintenance Technician to join their fast paced facility. This role is responsible for providing maintenance, troubleshooting, support and technical expertise on the production floor. The ideal candidate is bringing proven mechanical aptitude along with a great attitude and work ethic. - Troubleshoots and repairs and/or replaces parts as required
- Collaborates with the maintenance and production teams
- Responsible for the safe operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of the machinery
- Offer suggestions on improving machine performance
- Contribute to the Preventative Maintenance initiatives
- Ensures all specifications are programmed accurately in the machine and maintains specification tolerances
- Utilizes blueprints for correct detailing, layout and set up
- Ensures the building is well maintained in a safe manner
The Ideal Candidate:- 3+ years’ experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Licensed as a millwright. Dual license (electrical and mechanical) is considered an asset
- Ability to work afternoon shifts
- Proven ability to prioritize jobs with flexibility to meet demands as required
- Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proven experience in machine troubleshooting and with CNC Machinery
- Experience with Preventative Maintenance and Continuous Improvement initiatives would be an asset
- Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act would be an asset
