Maintenance Millwright

Summary

This role performs electrical and mechanical up-keep and repairs facilities, buildings, and manufacturing equipment. Troubleshoots, diagnoses and makes necessary repairs. Assists in setting up and maintaining an ongoing preventive maintenance program for the facility. Maintains an organized, safe and clean work area.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

1. Carries tools and equipment to and from storage and working areas.
2. Assist dismantling and moving machines or equipment.
3. Clean machines to prepare surfaces for repair.
4. Oil and grease various machinery to include maintaining and checking oil levels in forklifts.
5. Clean work areas, tools and equipment.
6. Repairing LP gas accessories and related PM tasks.
7. HVAC / CHILLER PM tasks.
8. Diagnostics of PLC / CNC / circuitry.
9. Within the scope of the job requirements, will be required to adhere to the Company’s ISO Quality Program and procedures, Company policies and Safety and Environmental Regulations.
10. Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues.
11. Check electrical and hydraulic systems of buildings to ensure functionality.
12. Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities.
13. Work according to company mandates for communication, meetings and projects.
14. Responsible for effective record keeping, filing and other administrative duties as required.
15. Ensuring all work areas are clean and organized.
16. This role will work a flexible rotating schedule that may include evenings and or weekend shifts.
17. May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Skills/Knowledge

1. Must be able to read and interpret written and oral instructions to perform assigned duties and provide accurate paperwork and work orders.
2. Must be able to work under pressure and within time constraints.
3. Basic computer skills preferred. Must be able to lift up to 85 pounds.
4. Must be able to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50lbs, and lift over 50lbs with the help of other workers, forklift, and/or overhead hoist.
5. Tolerance for exposure to fine dust and airborne particles; high noise levels.

Experience/ Education

1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Alberta Journeyperson / 4th year certification – Millwright.
3. 5+ years of previous experience in maintaining manufacturing equipment.
4. Experience performing mechanical repairs for different varieties of machines.
