Job description

The Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Able to repair and maintain equipment with minimum assistance.
  • Maintenance of plant equipment, inspection, damage assessment of the root cause, and determine proper repairs and testing equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance on tools and machinery.
  • Assist and repair pumps, compressors, hydraulic systems, break press, shears, roll forming machines, punch presses, welding machines.
  • Assist in training other employees and Maintenance Mechanic trainees.
  • Adhere to all Life Savings Rules, including Lock out tag/out (LOTO), Machine guarding, Bypassing safety controls, powered industrials Truck (PIT) safety protocols; OHSA, Safety Policies.
  • Adhere and follow to all other Atkore policies, such as harassment, free workplace of Drug and alcohol, Respect and Harassment, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Three (3) years of maintenance technician experience in a manufacturing plant is required.
  • Three (3) years of manufacturing and fabrication experience is required.
  • Millwright Certification preferred.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical skills are required.
  • Positive approach, self-motivated, dynamic, creative with the ability to work on own initiative.
  • Eager and interested to learn continuously in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in the English language.
  • Ability to work both as a member of a team, a team leader or as an individual contributor.
