Job description

Are you a hands-on problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment?

Custom Castings is actively seeking a Maintenance Mechanic / Technician to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a mechanically inclined professional who can work independently and in collaboration with others to keep our equipment running safely and efficiently

We're not just another foundry — we're a modern, integrated manufacturing facility specializing inhigh-quality aluminum and zinc castings.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repaira wide range of equipment, including :

CNC machines

  • Hydraulic systems and pneumatic tools
  • Casting machinery and auxiliary equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
  • Fabricate partsusing welding techniques (MIG, TIG); modify or create custom components as needed.
  • Conduct routine inspections , adjust machinery and document maintenance activities.
  • Respond toemergency breakdownsquickly and efficiently — day or night, weekday or weekend, when required. (Additional)
  • Assist in the design and execution ofcustom jigs, fixtures, safety guards, and machine upgrades.

Qualifications & Requirements :

Will be an asset :

  • Red Seal Journeyperson Millwright Certificate(or equivalent trade certification).
  • Proven experience inequipment maintenance and repairin an industrial or manufacturing setting.
  • Understanding ofhydraulic and pneumatic systems, including troubleshooting pumps, valves, and cylinders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
