The stated hours of work are approximate as schedules are subject to change with the operational needs of the Health Centre. Changes made to hours of work will follow the terms of the applicable collective agreement, company policy and/or legislation.
Type of Shifts:12 hour shifts - Days, Nights, Weekends, Holidays & On-Call

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
The maintenance mechanic troubleshoots repairs and performs preventative maintenance to the buildings “plant” which includes heating, cooling, ventilation, Reverse Osmosis, medical gas and the pneumatic tube equipment.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
One or more of the following is required:
a) Certificate of Qualification in a journeyperson class as regulated by the Ontario College of Trades in a trade that is suitable to the Role and Responsibilities of a Maintenance Mechanic as described combined with a minimum of 5-years hands-on experience supporting an acute care hospital. Suitable Certificate of Qualifications include, but are not limited to Facilities Technician, Facilities Mechanic, Instrumentation and Controls Technician; or,
b) 4th Class Stationary or Operating Engineer as certified by Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) combined with a minimum of 5-years hands-on experience supporting an acute care hospital;
c) Refrigeration Operator or Oil/Gas Burner Technician Class II, or higher as certified by TSSA combined with a minimum of 5-years’ experience within an industrial or institutional environment.
d) Certification by Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists combined with a minimum of 10-years’ hands-on experience within an industrial or institutional environment.
Experience with multiple trades is preferred.
