Job Responsibilities:

• Assemble mechanical units or fabricated parts to make sub-assemblies or complete products within routine and repetitive assembly operations.
• Conduct complex production tasks such as operating multiple machines.
• Perform minor machine maintenance and assist in setting up machines.
• Work at different workstations as production needs require.
• May train less experienced coworkers.
• Typically has more than 5 years of experience and works under general direction.

Procor Limited manages Canada’s largest private tank car lease fleet and operates an extensive repair network across the country. Our fleet includes over 30,500 specialized tank and freight cars. We operate 5 repair shops across Canada servicing various markets including petroleum, petrochemicals, plastics, chemicals, fertilizers, and food. We offer a stable position with opportunities for advancement.

Job Summary:

Principal duties include maintenance and repair/rebuild of:

• Welding machines, including calibration
• Cutting torches
• Small hand tools and equipment maintenance
• Vehicle maintenance (e.g., tire rotation)
• Air compressor maintenance and operation
• Track equipment maintenance
• Forklift operations
• Overhead hoists and cranes
• Trackmobile operation
• Stationary machinery such as drill presses, saws, pipe benders, etc.
• Additional related duties as assigned

The hourly rate at Edmonton Service Centre is $45.80 plus a shift premium of $1.40/hour.

Requirements:

• Legally able to work in Canada
• Journeyman Millwright certificate
• 2+ years of welding experience
• Inventory management experience
• WHMIS training and experience with hazardous materials
• Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, around machinery, and in noisy and fumes-filled environments
• Detail-oriented and quality-focused
• Excellent time management skills
• Team player and independent worker
• Physically capable of moderate to heavy exertion
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Adherence to health and safety standards including PPE usage
• Must pass medical testing upon hire
