A leading company in the manufacturing sector is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic (Electrician/Millwright) to ensure the efficiency of production equipment. The ideal candidate will possess a valid Electrician or Millwright ticket and demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude. Background & Purpose of the Job
The Maintenance Mechanic (Electrician/Millwright) will be responsible for providing service to production and other functional areas at the manufacturing site. This position requires completing repairs and maintenance of production-related equipment and systems. The Maintenance Mechanic must be professionally competent and qualified to operate safely.
Who You Are & What You’ll Do
Diagnose machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions.
Repair equipment and document breakdowns appropriately.
Perform scheduled Preventative and Predictive maintenance services.
Fill out logs and communicate professionally with Supervisors, Managers, and equipment operators.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
Post-secondary education and a valid Electrician ticket (309A or 442A) or Millwright ticket (433A) in good standing (Ontario).
Experience working as part of an extended team within the Manufacturing sector.
Proven mechanical aptitude.
Experience with pneumatics/hydraulics and related control circuits.
Experience with basic PLC diagnostics.
Ability to work shift patterns 24/7.
Welding experience is an asset.
