An established industry player seeks a dedicated maintenance technician to perform skilled repairs and maintenance on various building systems. SCOPE OF WORK: Performs skilled maintenance work in the repair of structures, equipment, and fixtures in mechanical, assists with renovation and construction work and facilities projects. This position reports to the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor II at MCC.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or high school equivalency.
Experience: One year experience in general building maintenance and repair work and/or work in a skilled trade. Each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of education.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Some training in a building trade desired. Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule and/or to change hours during any special or emergency event, to support college activities that exceed normal operating hours, and to adjust work schedule to meet college requirements. This position is designated as Essential Personnel and is subject to all its provisions.
License/Certification: Valid driver's license is required to operate a vehicle to perform job accountabilities.
RECOMMENDED WORK TRAITS: Knowledge of one or more of the building trades. Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions. Knowledge of the methods and tools used in maintenance and repair work. Skill in the use of tools and equipment used in the work. Ability to direct the work of subordinate maintenance staff. Ability to understand and carry out instructions. Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with immediate associates and the general public. Must be willing to maintain an appearance appropriate to assigned duties and responsibilities as determined by the agency appointing authority. Ability to perform physical demands required for this position.
