North American leader, specialized for more than 40 years in the manufacturing of architectural products, with more than 1500 employees, is looking to add a new Maintenance Manager to their Woodbridge, Ontario team. The candidate will oversee the maintenance operations of our facilities and will be responsible for creating/implementing preventative maintenance plans, troubleshooting equipment issues, sourcing alternative parts, and ensuring a rapid response to equipment failures.

General Responsibilities:

1. Manage and coordinate all maintenance activities within the facilities
2. Utilize CMMS to plan, schedule, and track maintenance tasks, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budgets
3. Conduct regular inspections of equipment and systems to identify potential issues and implement preventive maintenance measures
4. Lead a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure optimal performance
5. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems to diagnose and resolve equipment failures promptly
6. Collaborate with external vendors and suppliers to source alternative parts and materials as needed
7. Develop and maintain relationships with equipment manufacturers and service providers to stay updated on technological advancements and best practices
8. Plan and coordinate new equipment installation with a multidisciplinary team
9. Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulatory standards in all maintenance activities
10. Prepare reports on maintenance activities, including equipment performance, downtime, and maintenance costs, for management review
11. Work with a multidisciplinary team to develop and manage maintenance budgets, minimize downtime, identify cost-saving opportunities, and optimize resource allocation

What we are looking for:

1. Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or a related field preferred
2. Millwright license is mandatory
3. Proven experience in maintenance management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting
4. Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) software
5. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems
6. Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve equipment failures
7. Effective leadership and team management abilities
8. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
9. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
