North American leader, specialized for over 40 years in manufacturing architectural products, with more than 1500 employees, is seeking a new Maintenance Manager for our Woodbridge, Ontario facility. The candidate will oversee maintenance operations, develop and implement preventative maintenance plans, troubleshoot equipment issues, source parts, and respond rapidly to equipment failures.

General Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate all maintenance activities within the facility
  • Use CMMS to plan, schedule, and track maintenance tasks, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget
  • Conduct regular equipment inspections to identify potential issues and implement preventive measures
  • Lead a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and support
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems to diagnose and resolve failures promptly
  • Collaborate with external vendors and suppliers to source parts and materials
  • Maintain relationships with equipment manufacturers and service providers to stay updated on technology and best practices
  • Plan and coordinate new equipment installations with multidisciplinary teams
  • Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Prepare reports on maintenance activities, equipment performance, downtime, and costs
  • Develop and manage maintenance budgets, minimize downtime, and optimize resources

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or a related field (preferred)
  • Millwright license (mandatory)
  • Proven experience in maintenance management, preferably in manufacturing or industrial settings
  • Proficiency with CMMS software
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Effective leadership and team management abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
