Qualifications

  • Authorized to work in Canada.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive facilities management experience, preferably in healthcare.
  • At least 5 years managing multiple service levels and KPIs.
  • Ability to interpret complex documents, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.

Summary

Reporting to the Site General Manager, the Maintenance Manager oversees the facility's operations, ensuring safety, comfort, productivity, and efficiency to meet contractual standards and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  1. Implement and manage Facility Management Operations programs to meet contractual obligations and KPIs.
  2. Establish and maintain effective relationships with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors, ensuring high communication and satisfaction.
  3. Resolve technical issues related to Mechanical, Electrical, and specialized systems.
  4. Provide financial and business analysis, including operational and financial reports.
  5. Assist in developing annual budgets, monitor expenses, and report variances.
  6. Manage technical staff, including maintenance generalists, trades, and specialists, ensuring compliance with employment standards and collective agreements.
  7. Supervise, develop, and mentor technical employees to ensure contract compliance.
  8. Oversee execution of preventive maintenance plans using CMMS.
  9. Manage contracts and onsite interactions with subcontractors for maintenance tasks.
  10. Respond to client service requests and manage demand maintenance.
  11. Support development and implementation of capital projects and out-of-scope work.
  12. Lead the site’s Joint Health and Safety Committee and promote a safe work environment.
  13. Monitor and implement Quality Assurance programs.
  14. Contribute to the annual business plan aligned with contractual objectives.
  15. Establish inventory management for materials, tools, and equipment.
  16. Coordinate with Procurement for service contracts and materials.
  17. Delegate tasks as appropriate and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Authorized to work in Canada.
  • Ability to pass background checks and obtain security clearance.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive facilities management experience, preferably in healthcare.
  • At least 5 years managing multiple service levels and KPIs.
  • Technical certification or relevant education/experience.
  • Ability to manage technical accounts and troubleshoot complex systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Available for on-call responses.
  • Ability to interpret complex documents, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Strong safety and quality focus.
  • Valid G driver’s license.
  • COVID-19 vaccination records required.
