Job Title: Maintenance Manager

Job Description

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring optimal equipment uptime and implementing a proactive, efficient maintenance strategy across the Windsor facility. This role leads a cross-functional maintenance team, oversees the preventative maintenance program, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to meet operational goals. The objective is to achieve 94% equipment uptime while aligning maintenance practices with company safety standards, cost controls, and production efficiency.

Responsibilities

  1. Lead a cross-functional maintenance team, including planners, engineers, tradespeople, and electricians.
  2. Oversee the preventative maintenance program to ensure equipment reliability and efficiency.
  3. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment uptime and operational performance.
  4. Investigate root causes of equipment failures and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
  5. Align maintenance practices with company safety standards, cost controls, and production efficiency.
  6. Collaborate with management to report, budget, and discuss strategic maintenance plans.

Essential Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in a maintenance management role within a manufacturing environment.
  • 3+ years of in-depth knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, stamping, mechanical systems, gas-fired ovens, robotics, automation, conveyors, CNC.
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation including blueprints, schematics, and equipment specifications.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with an understanding of technical issues.
  • Experience managing a large maintenance team of 20+ across multiple sites.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Effective leadership, mentoring, and coaching skills.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiarity with CMMS software, preferably Megamation.
  • Experience with Epics ERP or similar.
  • Siemens and A-B PLC experience or similar.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Work Environment

The work environment is a combination of office and manufacturing shop floor, with occasional standing and walking on the plant floor. The setting is warm inside, and you must be comfortable in a manufacturing environment. The position is full-time, Monday to Friday, with flexibility for occasional weekend or off-shift support as required.

This is a Permanent position based out of Windsor, Ontario.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $140,000.00 - $160,000.00/yr.
