Maintenance Manager – Artin Properties

Location: 1755 West Broadway, Vancouver, BC

Salary: $50,000 – $70,000 (Depending on Experience)

Job Type: Full-Time

About the Role:

Artin Properties is looking for a Maintenance Manager to build and lead our Property Maintenance division. This role requires hands-on expertise in property maintenance, a strong ability to optimize systems, and technical fluency with maintenance software.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing property repairs, scheduling preventative maintenance, and leading a team, while also identifying growth opportunities to scale the maintenance operations into a profitable subsidiary. In addition to fieldwork, the Maintenance Manager will be tech-savvy, working with Notion, Operto, Google Sheets, and an ERP system to track, schedule, and manage maintenance tasks effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Build & Manage a High-Performing Maintenance Team

  • Recruit, train, and oversee maintenance personnel, ensuring efficiency and quality workmanship.
  • Establish clear workflows, task delegation, and accountability systems for all team members.
  • Optimize team performance with technology-driven task management.

Property Maintenance & Repairs

  • Perform basic electrical work, plumbing, installations, minor renovations, painting, and general repairs as needed.
  • Conduct quarterly maintenance inspections to prevent long-term issues.
  • Drive to properties on-call to handle urgent maintenance requests.
  • Ensure properties are kept in top condition through proactive servicing and repairs.

Technology & Systems Management

  • Utilize Notion, Operto, Google Sheets, and ERP software to track maintenance schedules, expenses, and property conditions.
  • Improve workflow automation and task tracking through digital systems.
  • Monitor and analyze operational data to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.

Project Management & Business Growth

  • Identify maintenance projects that add value and contribute to business expansion.
  • Scope out cost-effective property upgrades and improvements.
  • Implement strategies to scale the maintenance division into a self-sustaining, revenue-generating unit.
Who We’re Looking For
  • Hands-On Maintenance Expertise: At least 4+ years of experience in property maintenance, facility management, or home repairs.
  • Tech-Savvy & Process-Oriented: Comfortable working with Notion, Operto, Sheets, and ERP systems for tracking and reporting.
  • Strong Leadership & Team Building: Proven ability to recruit, train, and manage a growing maintenance team.
  • Problem-Solver & Critical Thinker: Can assess maintenance issues quickly and implement cost-effective solutions.
  • Organized & Detail-Oriented: Skilled in workflow optimization, scheduling, and reporting.
  • Driver’s License & Mobility: Must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle for on-site maintenance.
