Role Overview

As a Maintenance Manager, your day begins with team check-ins, setting priorities, and focusing on safety, quality, and efficiency. You inspect equipment for hazards, oversee preventative maintenance, and support or coach technicians as needed. You manage maintenance schedules, work orders, and inventory, ensuring compliance with ISO, HACCP, and GMP standards. Your role involves reviewing work quality, collaborating with external service providers, and developing SOPs to keep operations smooth and your team supported.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in a related field or trade
• 3-5 years leadership experience in manufacturing (food manufacturing experience is a strong asset)
• 3+ years maintenance experience (food manufacturing experience is a strong asset)
• Experience with LEAN Manufacturing
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and third-party software
• Willingness to work off-hours/weekends as needed
• Strong knowledge of process safety management and preventative maintenance
• Ability to foster teamwork and cooperation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with emotional intelligence
• Experience in a unionized environment (asset)
• Ability to work in a cool environment (2-4°C)
• Creative problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
