Required Education, Skills, and Experience :
- 5+ years previous experience managing durable equipment maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing CMMS programs.
- Ability to manage 3P service providers and contract negotiations.
- Strong experience using MS project or equivalent.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Technical certification in a related field considered an asset e.g. millwright.
- PMP certification an asset.
- Has a high degree of ownership and personnel accountability for the Safety and productive output of the team.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Essential Functions :
- Initiates, implements and manages the plant maintenance program, with an emphasis on planning / scheduling and preventive / predictive maintenance.
- Accountable for the leadership of the maintenance and setup teams; directs the work of these teams through supervision, ensuring work is done to time standards and does not require rework.
- Ensures compliance with environmental regulations in areas of air quality (in door and outside) waste water, sound emissions & other physical waste & water consumption.
- Responsible for project management of engineering and maintenance projects including plant shut down activities.
- Manages all 3P service providers & associated budgets, and negotiation of contracts.
- Develops and maintains a comprehensive MRO program; working closely with OEMs to build critical spare parts lists by asset. Includes ordering, receiving & organizing all MRO material within the ERP system.
