Job description

NORTERA Lethbridge is a production facility that processes and packages frozen vegetables. We harvest peas and corn locally as well as package different frozen vegetables grown in various regions.

We are currently accepting applications for a Mechanical Line Operator.

Your daily role

• Support operator on the packaging line, ensuring safety and efficiency
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues to minimize downtime
• Act as a liaison between supervisors and maintenance to communicate downtime concerns and efficiency opportunities
• Maintain a 6S standard in the plant
• Assist other departments as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Your profile

• Acceptable attendance record
• Possess a journeyman ticket (apprentices accepted at apprentice wage)
• Physically fit to climb stairs, work at heights, and operate in freezer conditions
• Ability to coach and lead teams to meet safety, performance, quality, cost, and service goals
• Proven ability to define and measure performance related to efficiency
