About the Role : Our client, a leading passenger transportation company in Atlantic Canada, is seeking a skilled and motivated Bus / Motorcoach Maintenance Shop Lead Hand to join their team in Dieppe, NB. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead a high-performance maintenance team within a rapidly growing organization known for its cutting-edge fleet and strong commitment to employee development.Key Responsibilities :

  • Oversee the daily operations of the maintenance shop, ensuring planned work is completed efficiently and on schedule.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the Halifax-based Maintenance Manager, facilitating clear communication and coordination.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation to support 24 / 7 operational needs.
  • Conduct both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repairs to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the fleet.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues using advanced diagnostic tools.
  • Maintain vehicle HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related systems to ensure peak performance.
  • Review and address issues identified in vehicle inspection reports.
  • Document maintenance activities accurately and maintain comprehensive repair records.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and repair techniques to enhance team capabilities.
  • Perform welding and cutting as required.
  • Support a collaborative, team-oriented work environment.Candidate Requirements :
  • Certification : Red Seal Truck & Transport Mechanic License (required).
  • Experience : 3-5 years in a mechanic role, preferably within the transportation industry, including leadership experience.
  • Skills : Strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and proficiency with MS Office and CMMS systems.
  • Licensing : Valid driver’s license required.
