Job summary

Thompson Construction Group in Fort McMurray is seeking a Maintenance Laborer / Service Truck Operator to support maintenance operations on our heavy equipment fleet. You will operate a service truck and perform track cleaning and chipping tasks while assisting Heavy Duty Technicians and Service Technicians.

The role requires a valid Class 5 Driver’s License and CSO certification; English proficiency is essential.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License required.
• Air Brake (Q) endorsement preferred.
• CSO certification required.
• Experience operating service trucks or working around heavy equipment preferred.
• Must be able to pass pre-access drug and alcohol test.
• Proficient in English, both verbally and written.
• Will be subject to Random Drug & Alcohol Testing.
• Candidates with site experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate a service truck safely and in accordance with site requirements.
• Perform track chipping, undercarriage cleaning, and equipment housekeeping.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Transport tools, fuel, lubricants, and maintenance supplies.
• Assist Heavy Duty Technicians and Service Technicians with maintenance activities.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Follow all company and client safety policies and procedures.

We are seeking a Maintenance Laborer / Service Truck Operator to support maintenance operations in the Fort McMurray area. The primary responsibility is operating a service truck and performing track cleaning and chipping activities on tracked heavy equipment. equipment. Successful candidates will also work to support Heavy Duty Technicians and Service Technicians by performing various required laborer tasks.
