Arconic is currently seeking an Inventory/Reliability Technologist to join our maintenance team based in Lethbridge, Alberta.

Job Summary

The Maintenance Reliability Technologist plays a crucial role in maintaining equipment reliability, managing inventory systems, and implementing preventative maintenance initiatives. This position is vital for reducing downtime, enhancing efficiency, and ensuring safe plant operations.

Responsibilities
  • Manage creation, updating, and tracking of purchase orders for maintenance resources.
  • Oversee spare parts inventory, ensuring accurate logging, organization, and compliance with the CMMS.
  • Maintain Lock, Tag, Verify safety program and ensure compliance with Arconic standards.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy concerning stock levels, costs, and vendor details.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Task Instructions (STIs) for maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with maintenance supervisors and planners to optimize inventory levels.
  • Audit and improve preventative maintenance systems to meet operational and safety standards.
  • Support troubleshooting and other maintenance tasks as assigned.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Proficiency in Windows and MS Office Suite.
  • Effective presentation skills.
  • High energy, focused planning, and organizational skills.
  • Strong team-building abilities and facilitation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, business process improvement knowledge, and training ability.
  • Self-motivated, people-oriented, and capable of working across organizational levels.

Preferred:

  • Journeyman Parts Technician certification.
  • Technologist diploma/degree (with 2+ years experience), preferably in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience in manufacturing, especially metal fabrication or maintenance environments.
Physical Environment

The role involves working in various conditions, including indoor/outdoor, heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid environments. Personal protective equipment is required to mitigate hazards. This position is Non-Exempt.
