Maintenance - Environmental Services Manager - 2 Positions Available

We have two positions available at Metta Lifestyles. One is located at our Queens Estate community, and the other at our Greenview Retirement community.

At Metta Lifestyles, we're a dynamic Canadian company dedicated to quality senior care in Toronto and Ottawa. We aim to set new standards in senior living, providing residents with a lifestyle of convenience, flexibility, and peace of mind.

The Opportunity:

The Environmental Services Associate will maintain the physical condition of the building, ensuring safety for residents, employees, and guests. Responsibilities include general maintenance, servicing, and repairs of the residence, equipment, furnishings, fixtures, and grounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Planning and executing preventative maintenance schedules.
  2. Monitoring and maintaining inventory levels.
  3. Investigating deficiencies and malfunctions, taking corrective actions.
  4. Performing minor repairs in building, landscaping, electrical, painting, plumbing, and equipment.
  5. Organizing maintenance vendors.
  6. Conducting regular building reviews and reporting findings.
  7. Preparing resident rooms for occupancy.
  8. Performing winter safety activities like salting grounds and clearing ice and debris.
  9. Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in maintenance work.
  • Skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, and equipment maintenance.
  • Certificate in general maintenance.
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
