Location: Atholville, New Brunswick, Canada
Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 CAD (DOE) + 15% Bonus

Hours: M-F 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM - 2 Shutdowns per year

Our client, a leader in the global pulp and fiber industry, is seeking an accomplished Maintenance & Engineering Manager to join their team in Atholville, New Brunswick. In this critical leadership role, you’ll oversee the maintenance and engineering functions to ensure the reliability and efficiency of cutting-edge and legacy equipment. Responsibilities

  1. Manage and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs
  2. Develop and execute short- and long-term maintenance plans
  3. Lead department personnel to ensure equipment reliability and operational efficiency
  4. Oversee budgeting, cost control, and capital project planning
  5. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
  6. Plan and coordinate annual shutdowns and other major maintenance activities
  7. Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  8. Foster strong union-management relations and ensure effective communication

Qualifications

  1. 8+ years of maintenance or engineering management experience required
  2. 4+ years of Chemical Manufacturing or Pulp Mill Operations experience required
  3. Experience managing budgets over $15 million required
  4. ERP and Maintenance management software experience required
  5. Strong leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills required
