Job summary

Raise is seeking a Maintenance Engineer – Electricity Generation Assets in Burnaby to support preventive maintenance programs for power generation equipment. You will develop safe engineering solutions and collaborate with engineering SMEs, field teams, and regulatory personnel to ensure assets are reliable and compliant.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, P.Eng, and 4+ years in relevant settings with strong skills in reading schematics and using CMMS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Applied Science.
• P.Eng and EGBC permit to practice required.
• 4+ years in engineering in power utility, oil & gas, or heavy industrial.
• Experience developing preventive maintenance programs for electrical assets.
• Advanced proficiency reading single-line diagrams, schematics, and panel layouts.
• Familiarity with CMMS and electrical protection components.

Responsibilities

• Design, refine, and implement preventive maintenance programs for electricity generation equipment.
• Propose safe, cost-effective engineering solutions for tasks and projects.
• Conduct safety-focused asset evaluations and risk assessments with SMEs.
• Read and evaluate electrical drawings to identify failure modes and mitigations.
• Coordinate with project and field teams to manage costs and on-site quality control.
• Collaborate across engineering, field crews, asset management, and compliance teams.
