Maintenance Engineer | Private Hospital | Southampton | Full Time | Permanent | 37.5 hours | Competitive salary + excellent benefits

Spire Southampton Hospital is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Maintenance Engineer to join our established maintenance team. Working Hours: Combination of shifts between 7 am and 5 pm, Monday to Friday. Occasional weekends may be required.
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Role Overview: As a Hospital Engineer, you will work within the engineering team to maintain grounds, building fabric, building services, and all equipment efficiently, ensuring compliance with current legislation and Spire policies.

Responsibilities
  1. Contribute to and assist in implementing a comprehensive, cost-effective, planned, and preventative maintenance program for all engineering services and equipment, utilizing the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  2. Identify, prioritize, and report infrastructure and compliance risks to your Engineering Manager or Regional Engineer Manager.
  3. Maintain accurate records and documentation for all services and equipment for audit purposes.
  4. Contribute to the energy performance of the site by optimizing the Building Management System and utilizing Spire Healthcare's Energy Remote System (ERM), including benchmarking energy reports.
  5. Ensure appropriate maintenance and testing of all equipment and services, including water, electrical, and ventilation systems, in compliance with HTM recommendations and Spire policies.
  6. Work flexible hours as required, including on-call duties: 1 week in 4 on standby, with additional hours and overtime as needed.
