Job Description

La Quinta by Wyndham Vancouver, WA, located off I-5 and I-205 in Salmon Creek, is currently seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join our energetic team.

The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for operating and maintaining the property's interior and exterior facilities, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, general equipment, and grounds.

Responsibilities:
  • Respond promptly and follow through on guest requests in a friendly and effective manner
  • Troubleshoot and repair basic maintenance, electrical, technical, HVAC, and plumbing needs in rooms/suites
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on all guest room/suite furniture, fixtures, and equipment
  • Inspect plumbing regularly
  • Manage the hotel's lighting needs
  • Ensure all appliances are functioning correctly
  • Comply with hotel safety protocols, including fire safety
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED; or 1-2 years of related experience and/or training
  • Knowledge of basic repair and maintenance skills, including carpentry, grouting, painting, caulking, and blueprint reading
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Basic Math skills
  • Basic computer skills
