The Maintenance Electrician would report to the Manager of Utilities.

The responsibilities would include inspection, repair, and maintain Lethbridge Polytechnic’s electrical systems.

The Equipment/responsibilities Of This Position Are

  • high voltage loops
  • transformers
  • all building electrical
  • fire alarm systems
  • lighting
  • emergency generators and transfer switches
  • disconnect switches
  • respond to work order requests
  • some projects. For example, IMP lighting and project management.

Position Details

  • Maintain work to the campus buildings electrical systems.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance, inspections, repairs of the fire alarm system, emergency plants, emergency lighting and other safety equipment.
  • Install electrical equipment on campus renovation projects.
  • Perform inspections, repairs and scheduled maintenance of the high voltage loop.
  • On-call rotation would be a requirement.

Required Qualifications

  • Journeyman’s Electrician Ticket with minimum 3 years experience with knowledge of electrical systems and maintenance programs.

Preferred Qualifications Salary AUPE Class Level 11 Step 1 $64,985.12 to Step 5 $76,870.35 per annum. Working Here
