Position Responsibilities
  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • Responsible for the general maintenance and repair of plumbing, fixtures, doors, windows, and their hardware, light and room fixtures, walls and wall coverings
  • Repair and maintain HVAC units, makeup air units and maintain a regular schedule of filter changes
  • Complete basic repairs to guest rooms and other areas of hotel, assist vendors with major repairs
  • Complete routinely checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintain records of scheduled maintenance procedures
  • Responsible for the storage and safekeeping handling of all tools, equipment, related parts and supplies
  • Complete all assigned Preventative Maintenance Work Orders and Daily Work Orders in a timely manner
  • Pressure wash, prepare, paint and decorate interior or exterior surfaces, as required
  • Maintain outside grounds (remove snow, ice, debris, spray and remove weeds, sweep and clean gutters)
  • Report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, and properly store flammable materials
  • Troubleshoot and possibly repair to maintain building security
  • Respond to emergency situations/events and maintenance requests as required
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization and safety of the work areas
  • Maintain inventory of essential tools and parts
  • Other duties assigned
Skills & Qualifications
  • Basic painting, drywall, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical skills
  • Previous maintenance experience in hospitality is an asset
  • Follow proper daily routine, continue with deep cleaning of the rooms and projects on yearly basis
  • Must be self‑directed, motivated and demonstrates exceptional service
  • Effectively troubleshoot, diagnose & rectify building related problems
  • Excellent communication and organization skills with strong problem‑solving abilities
  • Highly responsible and reliable
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
  • Maintain a flexible schedule to meet the business needs of a 24/7 hotel environment, including weekends, evenings and holidays
  • Available for emergency calls
