Salary Range/Wage Rate: $50.14 hourly plus 6.25% deferred compensation

This role receives an additional 6.25% deferred compensation, which can be taken as compensation or time off.

Our Liquid Waste Services Department seeks a Maintenance Planner to coordinate maintenance for multiple trades groups, ensuring reliability and high standards in wastewater treatment. The role involves planning and scheduling maintenance work, including preventive maintenance, equipment breakdowns, and large equipment shutdowns. The primary work location is Lulu Island Wastewater Treatment Plant.

You are: a detail-oriented, safety-conscious, self-starting professional with expertise in work management practices, planning and scheduling, computerized maintenance management systems, and preventative maintenance methodologies. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assessing job requirements, prioritizing tasks, estimating resources, and determining parts and tools needed.
  • Scheduling and planning maintenance work, preparing procedures and drawings, initiating purchase requisitions, and managing inventory.
  • Issuing and reviewing work orders, ensuring documentation accuracy, and updating the maintenance management system.
  • Monitoring backlog, managing schedules, and coordinating with staff and engineering to update drawings and standards.

Location: Burnaby, BC
